Every joint in the frame, found for you.
The Connection Hub reads the solved frame, finds every joint and lists its forces from every load case. Open a joint in the Connection Studio to see its plates, bolts and welds in 3D.
All the joints, one list.
No retyping forces from the analysis into a separate program.

What the Hub does
- Finds the joints in the 3D model: beam to column, eaves, apex, column bases, splices and bracing
- Groups joints of the same type so you design one and apply it to many
- Lists the member end forces at each joint for every load combination
- Shows each joint's status, so nothing is left unchecked by accident
The joint in 3D.
Members, plates, bolt group and welds, drawn from the joint dimensions.

Being built now
- Checks to SANS 10162-1, with the EN 1993-1-8 component method where SANS has no rule, on the same connection engine as the free calculators
- Portal frame joints: column base plates (with shear key and stiffener options), eaves haunch and apex haunch
- Beam-to-column end plates, fin plates, cleats, T-stubs, splices and bracing gussets
- Purlin and girt cleats placed along the rafters and columns, sized to clear the cladding
- Fabrication export to Advance Steel for the connection types above, with plates, bolts and welds
- A finite element check of the joint (CBFEM): plates as shell elements with the bolts and welds, compared with reference results before release

In development. A joint only shows as passed once it has actually been checked. The checks are being validated against hand calculations before release.

Free connection calculators.
Single-joint calculators to EN 1993-1-8 run in your browser today; the result is free and the calc sheet comes with the Steel pack or 3 free designs a month signed in. The end plate, eaves haunch and apex haunch calculators use the connection engine of the STATIX app: bolt-row groups, welds and the reduced resistance under high shear, and their full calc sheets show the working clause by clause.
The fin plate and end plate pages now draw the connection to scale for everyone: the real sections, bolts and holes, dimensions, the weld symbol and a section view. Base plate and haunch drawings follow.
