Our answers, next to the published ones.

Every row below is a published worked example or closed-form solution, the value STATIX gives for the same input, and the difference. We list a row only if an automated test checks it and that test passed on 30 September 2026.

The PFC difference is expected: this calculator models sharp corners, and the published table includes the rolled root radii.

These checks ran in the STATIX 3D development build behind the Connection Studio. Since 4 October the free end plate, eaves haunch and apex haunch calculators use the same connection engine; the base plate calculator on this website has its own engine, and the gusset checks here are not on this website yet.

One known difference in the same example: the plate tension resistance comes out 3.2% higher than published (1,644 kN against 1,593 kN), because STATIX uses the exact lever arm of 58.15 mm where the book rounds it to 60 mm. That row is on the unsafe side, so it is not yet counted as a pass.

This page shows results, not a certificate. Every STATIX result must still be checked and signed by a registered professional engineer. We add rows as new tests are written; a row is never kept on this page if its test stops passing.
